Natural Materials

Gemstones, rough material, slabs, rocks, minerals, and similar products are naturally variable. Unless expressly stated otherwise, natural characteristics may include fractures, inclusions, pits or voids, matrix material, veins, irregular edges, differences in hardness, variations in color/transparency/pattern/texture, surface irregularities, internal characteristics, and other naturally occurring features. Such characteristics are expected and are not automatically defects.

Actual-Item Photography

For individually listed gemstones, slabs, and similar natural materials, LPE intends to use photographs of the actual item offered for sale, rather than generic photographs of another specimen. Reasonable effort will be made to accurately photograph and describe each item.

Color and Appearance

Appearance can vary with lighting, viewing angle, moisture, camera equipment, photographic processing, display calibration, screen technology, and environmental conditions. We cannot guarantee electronically displayed colors will exactly match the physical item under every condition.

Measurements and Weight

Measurements, dimensions, and weights are provided using reasonable methods but should be considered approximate unless a listing expressly guarantees a measurement.

Treatments

LPE intends to keep gemstone and natural-material products as natural as reasonably practical. Some materials may be heat treated or otherwise treated for particular uses. Any treatment known to LPE will be disclosed in the applicable listing when reasonably relevant. Unless expressly stated otherwise, LPE does not guarantee a complete geological, ownership, mining, processing, or treatment history for material obtained from third-party sources.

No Healing or Medical Claims

Gemstones, rocks, minerals, slabs, and related materials are sold strictly as collectibles, lapidary materials, decorative materials, specimens, craft materials, or other described material products. LPE makes no claim that such materials diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or affect disease or medical conditions. Product listings are not medical advice.

No Investment or Guaranteed-Value Claims

Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, LPE does not represent gemstones or natural materials as investments and does not guarantee appreciation, resale value, future market value, rarity, or profitability.

AS-IS Sale

Natural-material products are sold AS IS and WITH ALL FAULTS to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, based on actual-item photographs, descriptions, and disclosed characteristics available at sale. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
